When I worked in asylum Chinese applicants were the only ones who were routinely granted asylum more than denied. I did hundreds of applications and only approved 3 with 2 of those 3 being Chinese nationals one a democracy activist and the 2nd a Falun Gong ‘worshipper’, those were the only 2 Chinese cases I personally had as most were women so wanted female officers but the pattern of them mostly being granted asylum still followed.
