I’m hoping for something good to come out of this, but i know better.

I’m actually quite confident that a sort of deal is coming out of this. For the first time, actually. Both sides making big concessions and permanent peace to be achieved in Ukraine. A deal is always bad for both sides, but neither can continue this war at this scale and as a costly stalemate (similar to most of the Korean War. Little change in the map. Tremendous casualties). Trump despite all his big problems, I detest the man and what he represents to the world, might actually just bring an end to the war.

My 2 cents: IF Putin actually accepts some kind of security guaranties in Ukraine, this means that Russia is really done and he needs a way out of the war fast. Either way, Ukraine has no reason to accept giving up territories that it controls (and are heavily fortified).

European leaders need to appease a narcissistic semi-senile toddler who would prefer to be a dictator rather than a president, because they feel that if USA fully pulls the plug, Ukraine (and Europe) will be helpless.

      This is PATHETIC.

And it should bother first and foremost the voters of European countries. They should demand European military and financial independence from USA, but instead the moment this is discussed (and its costs, because it doesn’t come for free), they want nothing to do with paying the bill for it, so their leaders also don’t do anything substantial towards it, and rush to say it won’t be “OUR boots on the ground”….

I hope Europe gets something positive out of this. I also wish Europe was stronger and didn’t have to worry about some pathetic narcissist to bring peace.

This should be a huge warning for Poland. First of all our politicians are idiots who can’t even agree with eachother over such crucial stuff as our security. Second off all, we have to consider that we’re the second fiddle and if you’re not If you’re not at the table, you can be on the table. Dangerous times and our stupidity might once again put us in a very bad spot

The Article 5 similar security guarantees offered by the USA are a serious potential stepping stone to ending the war in negotiation talks that came out of this. All thats left is now getting the Russians to agree to where the frontlines are right now, Ukraine should not be forced to give up land they haven’t even lost yet.

Charm means nothing if we don’t have means of pressure.

Why does Macron look so annoyed in the photo ? It’s like someone dragged him there and he just doesn’t want to be there….

Ew, there’s a snake among all these great leaders and Donald.

I just hope they kept Trump busy enough to not exhale some hot vacuous gas at Zelensky.

Macron & Starmer, do not appear as relieved as the others. or is that just me‽

It’s embarrassing that everyone has to beg that man. Europe is ceding sovereignty if it needs the US to dictate what happens in Europe.

This picture makes me sad. Only Macron looks like he’s got the needed amount of psychopathical will to destroy Russia that all of them would need to have to give me a modicum of hope.
