We need to get better at identifying who can be withdrawn safely from anti-psychotics.

A significant proportion of people currently on them would be able to live safely with a decent quality of life, having discontinued their medication. But there is a lot of fear concerning relapse that makes some clinicians reluctant to discontinue medication.

We also need to get better at early intervention so symptoms don’t escalate and become harder to treat.
