    1. If they aren’t linked then the data will prove that and this will be a good rebuttal, no?

Virtue signaling losers are a disease, many of them childless and own nothing, they have nothing invested in this world so who cares if it goes to shit?

“I’ll just make myself feel good while im living a pointless life, wow im such a good person!”

Can something really be considered a ‘*dangerous racist diversion*’ if (and I mean if) it’s proved by the data?

    4. Lorry_Al on

Sex attacks scale with population rise from countries where sexual assault is normal.

It’s not racist to point that out.

    5. > Instead, the issue is being hijacked by people seeking to use women and girls’ pain and trauma – and the threat of it – for political gain.

Should be obvious by fact 2 in 5 arrested at these protests have domestic abuse charges. It’s never been about protecting women.

You can’t just ignore the impact culture plays

It’s no different to any other aspect of culture

Flood an area with people from a certain culture and you’ll soon see parts of that culture seeping into the area.

Sometimes that’s fine. I lived in high Wycombe for a bit and the culture there shaped the food you’d find in markets and corner shops. Great

Not all parts of anyone’s culture is a good addition.

It’s not nor has that ever been a race thing. It’s entirely culture. It’s just much easier to dismiss everyone as a racist

Pshh, what do women’s rights groups know. We upstanding citizens concerned with immigration know what women need better. /s

    8. ‘Don’t notice higher sexual crime rates in specific groups!’

    9. I think people are linking it to the mass illegal migration of military aged men.

Not the legal migration of nuclear families in full employment.

Putting “Migration” there is obfuscation of what people are upset about.

as others have pointed out: if there is a data link, then the data is linked.

      Morals don’t justify naivety…

Immigrants from certain countries raised to disrespect women, seeing them as lesser beings, not only that, but fetishize and fantasize about European women with malicious views and ideas on them, and the European culture, I know because I see and hear it every day.

Not all Immigrants are like that, there are some respectable people who escaped for thier safety, and escaping tyranny…

So, what u need is ” filtering” not everyone is eligible to enter…

I have seen people with real cases of being prosecuted, tortured, or even worse , complain they got refused, while others with malicious ideas granted immigration very easily…

I doubt the women who have been victimised in these rapes/attacks from these demographics would feel the same way. Ask me how I know.

Racists: We have to protect our poor women and LGBTQ people from those evil violent asylum seekers/Palestinians!

Women and queer people: Err actually I don’t hate asylum seekers/Palestinians, please stop committing hate crimes/genocide in our name, could we please focus on actually solving misogyny/homophobia/transphobia in general?

Racists: Lmao fuck off [insert slur].

    16. LonelyStranger8467 on

Dismissing concerns as racist when people point out that migrants from societies with entrenched gender inequality, normalized violence against women, or strict patriarchal norms (such as Afghanistan, Somalia, Eritrea, or Iraq) may carry over harmful attitudes toward women is a diversion from reality.

    17. Initial_Flower3545 on

The far right are dumb, lying, violence inciting racists. Before even considering their comments you should verify first

    18. JackStrawWitchita on

Your average garden variety racist has no clue how data works. They can’t grasp even simple concepts such as ratios and percentages much less nuances of qualitative and quantitative social science data analysis.

Right wing agitators use this stuff to stoke up an emotional response to further their own right-wing agenda. It doesn’t matter if the statistics say one thing or another, the right wing will create more mouth-breather outrage via emotive memes based on nothing but hyperbole and hot air. Linking this is their modus operandi and has nothing to do with reality.

    19. Nima-night on

Linking it to police as well has become a really big concern as every other article is a police officer of sex offender charges.

    20. badgerandcheese on

You can throw as much data to counter these protests, but ultimately all it will take is one brown dude to commit a crime for people to kick-off.

If the boat crossings drop, they’ll move onto settled migrants / 2nd / 3rd generation migrants too.

*Doesn’t matter that high profile protestors have, themselves, abused children and women.*
*Doesn’t matter that some of those protesting hotels have had domestic abuse convictions.*

      [*https://www.theguardian.com/society/2025/jul/26/two-in-five-arrested-for-last-summers-uk-riots-had-been-reported-for-domestic-abuse*](https://www.theguardian.com/society/2025/jul/26/two-in-five-arrested-for-last-summers-uk-riots-had-been-reported-for-domestic-abuse)

They say its about the boats, but imo to a chunk of people saying so, it’s about kicking brown folk out – regardless of where you were born.

    22. CT-50679 on

Well yeah statistically of course White British are going to be the biggest group committing sex crimes, it’s the majority population. The contention people are making with minorities like with the Pakistani grooming gang scandal is that they are overrepresented, and that denying or downplaying these cultural factors of these demographics is delusional and is what upsets people and is what people want addressed

Obviously stopping sexual violence and violence against women is a nationwide effort regardless of ethnic/cultural background. But people also want one aspect of the problem addressed, that certain demographics/cultural backgrounds are more likely to commit these crimes, and people want to know why and how we solve this

And this isn’t racism at all. Norway for example setup educational programs for some migrant men coming from MENA/Central Asia regions in particular to teach them things like for example : “Just because a woman has a skirt isn’t an invitation to do anything or approach them”

Stuff like that, the more transparency you get on this topic the more you can solve these issues. Because it’s hurting everyone

    23. TheGrackler on

Not the point of the post but: There are at least 100 separate women’s rights groups in the UK? Is there enough overlap that they could run better, with less leadership overhead, as less groups?

    24. MPForSillyWalks on

This thread seems to have, predictably, immediately descended into people deliberately ignoring what the groups in the article are actually saying in order to push the same narrative that they are arguing against.

They are not arguing that sex crimes committed by foreign nationals are A-OK – they’re saying that focusing on them *exclusively* to the extreme degree that we currently are, whilst **also** pushing *people who have equally dangerous and harmful views towards women*, such as many of the self-styled girl-protecting protestors, into the public eye as champions, is overall going to cause harm to the aim of preventing violence against women.

Putting lots of effort and political will into focusing on a narrow portion of a widespread problem and simultaneously empowering and emboldening people who also mistreat women is short-sighted and, as the groups argue here, clearly being used to rally people with intentions **other** than actually helping women.

Saying that people are *”just asking questions about stats”* is clearly being intentionally obtuse.

    25. Brother-Executor on

The data proves this, no one is saying “it’s only group X committing act Y” it’s the disproportional levels coming from one group. People love the to discuss per capita when it comes to the rich but when it comes to sensitive subjects such as this, per capita is never applied.

To say otherwise or argue “well more white Brits commit crime Z” is just wilful ignorance.

    26. LostTheGameOfThrones on

Gotta love the people claiming to be about *”protecting women and children”* just straight up not listening to women.

      Well done, guys.

“it’s not so bad if you have 10,000 people committing 9,000 rapes, because the other group of 100,000 people committed 9,100 rapes.”

    28. They are trying to point out most British men couldn’t give a flying fuck about the violence perpetrated against women and children by brits. And probably sneer at protests marches by women about this problem. They are racist not anti violence against women.

    29. Psittacula2 on

It depends if the Numbers themselves link given groups of migrants to the offence, independent of who’s human hand is pointing.

This is a displacement story which is borderline evil in not presenting the facts a prior then describing them accurately then presenting arguments accurately instead of rhetorical tricks to conflate and confuse.

    30. Women’s safety groups are naturally suspicious of anyone who wants to narrow the concern around sex attacks so it is focused on the much smaller subset of attacks committed by asylum seekers.

    31. Insurdios on

How do you explain the fact that the child raping gangs were in dozens of towns all over the country and they were all perpetrated by a vast majority of pakistani muslim men? How is it that hundreds of miles apart they all did the same exact kind of crime? Did they organise together as pakistani muslims? Is it in their blood/culture?
Of course not all pakistanis or all muslims, but I heard it somewhere online, maybe even from a pakistani, that there a subset of their population that even pakistanis at home avoid and seclude.

    32. FastCommunication301 on

Why do the left struggle to see their virtue signalling is sabotaging the very groups they wish to ‘protect’?

    33. user29092021 on

I think the missing link here is this:

Arrests: Foreign citizens are 3.5x more likely to be arrested for sexual offences than British citizens (FOI across 41 police forces, 2024 – The Times / Centre for Migration Control).

Convictions: Foreign nationals were 71% more likely than Britons to be convicted of sex crimes between 2021-23 (Telegraph using MoJ FOI data).

By nationality: Some groups (e.g. Afghans, Eritreans) showed 20× higher conviction likelihood than British citizens (same MoJ FOI, cited on Wikipedia)

No one is denying that Britons commit more. That’s obvious, it’s a bigger population, but the data above, with sources, shows that on an individual basis, foreign populations in the UK commit more sex crimes.

    35. madding247 on

Just saying though, if it’s a migrant that commits that offence….. then it’s not racist.. It’s fact.

    36. So, when are we going to tall about the sentencing council and their soft hand? Never. OK .

    37. Force all of them to live in a “diversified” neighbourhood and ask them every week, if they rethought their statements.

    38. middleofaldi on

Adult men are the most likely demographic to commit sex crimes. Migrants and refugees are more likely to be adult men. These two facts can fully explain why migrants appear to be more likely to commit sex crimes. It’s a bad use of statistics to imply that all migrants are predisposed to crime any more than British men.

It’s not sexist to point this out and it shouldn’t mean we condemn all men as criminals, any more than we should condemn all asylum seekers

    39. pastie_b on

It’s alarming already and must be addressed regardless of culture, nationality etc but how bad do you think it will be in 5 years when we have millions more that see nothing wrong with SA
