L’altro giorno stavo camminando sulla lunga passeggiata a Galway e mi sentivo come se fossi entrato in un mondo diverso. Qualcun altro ha luoghi simili in Irlanda?

The Dodder walk between Terenure/Rathfarnham and Milltown. It feels like you’re far from a city. See all sorts of wildlife along it too. Last month i saw an otter in it. Pretty great spot

Camping on top of Muckish mountain and waking up to a foggy morning
If you’ve ever seen the Terror it was like when they’ve left the boats and are making their way through the barren rock fields
Like being on Mars but with more air

I once was walking down upper Main Street in Letterkenny years ago. And I saw two lads pushing each other to start a fight.
A lad on the other side of the road queuing to get into a bar , left his place to run over get between the lads.
He put his hands on the necks of both men and then forcibly smacked their heads together and shouted “now get on with it”
I walked away and around the corner to where one woman had won a fight and was stamping on the chest of her defeated female opponent on the ground.
I truly felt I was in another world.
Yes – I called the gardai

Standing on the edge of the dock in Crookhaven in Cork and looking out to the Atlantic, it’s like the edge of the world.

I was thinking of the Richard Bachmann book there for a moment.

Thanks for sharing this, OP. I used to live in this part of Galway and I miss it all the time. Your photo captures it beautifully.
