I’m not a member or involved with the GAA, so maybe someone who is can clarify….but…

surely the GAA is a member organisation, the clubs having power to propose amendments to rules etc, through county boards.

a good complimentary approach to this would be anyone in a local club to bring ask the club to bring a motion to whatever national structures are there in this issue.

I know that sounds a bit vague but if I was a member and knew structures better I could do more!

edit: equally, can something be done with Fair and UEFA. I assume fai can bring notions to UEFA AGM, when is the FAI agm, and can local clubs bring a motion there seeking boycott and FAI bring boycott motion to UEFA?

Genuinely wild logic here, which is why not a single person quoted in the article can say *why* they don’t like Allianz.

Albanese’s claim is that the Israeli government buys software from Microsoft and that Allianz (who, like all insurers, are legally required to hold shares in a wide range of large companies) own shares in Microsoft. I’m not exaggerating, [that’s literally it](https://www.un.org/unispal/document/a-hrc-59-23-from-economy-of-occupation-to-economy-of-genocide-report-special-rapporteur-francesca-albanese-palestine-2025/). It takes a fair bit of histrionics to get from that to “funding genocide”.

Do these people realise that they probably contribute indirectly in some way to helping Israel every day?
