Since we knocked up several nightingale hospital’s at the start of Covid, surely we can do something similar with some disused buildings? That would solve an instant problem for housing migrants.

Lib Dems, Greens, and Hope Not Hate, finally, now is your time!
Rent prices will be going through the roof with this.
Going to cause so much anger and I think it will be the last nail in the coffin for Labour.

They better house them in wealthy areas cuase the low income areas are already at breaking point with
lack of services and prospects.

Is there LITERALLY nothing else going on in this country at the moment?

Can’t think of a worse idea. Push rents up by reducing supply and no doubt the nimbies (with some justification) will be up in arms.
However given:-
1. House builders are whining about lack of space
2. We don’t have any prison space
3. No job growth
Why don’t we ask house builders to build prisons and immigration camps in high unemployment areas?
I’ll wait for the inevitable list of why nots…

Student halls of residence would be a more appropriate option.
One good example would be in Lampeter – the university there (UWTSD) has recently shut the entire campus, and they had halls there.
Likewise University of Wolverhampton has recently announced that they plan to close the Telford Campus – there’s halls there.
I’m sure that there are some other universities who are under occupied and could, with careful room allocation, move their students around a bit and free up an entire halls for asylum seekers, especially ones on a different site.
Likewise some private halls of residence could be persuaded to lease to the government, particularly if they’re struggling for bookings.
Before the ‘hard of comprehension’ crowd jump in, I’m talking about entire halls of residence being leased, not dropping an asylum seeker into a flat with a bunch of 18 year olds.

Labour are already not winning the next GE but if they put these people on our streets into HMO’s they’re never returning to power again.
This is beyond absolutely fucking insane.

Why not just their throw up 5,000 converted shipping containers or something like that?

Steepholm island. Nice big fence with razor wire. Erect twenty thousand tents. Free flight home For anyone who wants it, so they can later apply for a visa like a normal person.

Perfect, let’s begin by placing them right next to the private residences of every member of parliament.

Uh… I need a home and I’ve been waiting ten years, alright if I go first?

That’s great – with so many people defending mass immigration they’ll surely be lining up to offer a bed within their own homes, right? Right?
I’ve got a tent I’m willing to donate, maybe we could build some sort of camp for them all. Like a refugee camp?

If you want to win an election, don’t do anything Labour is doing.

I sympathise but I wish they could issue an urgent appeal for other housing, like social housing which is disappearing at a terrible rate.

What about houses for the young adults who already lived here? We’re priced out of the market, have little in the way of a future, forced to live with parents/family.
