Might be a silly question but could someone shed some light on why he was named when so many others aren’t?
Am I right in that these are cartoon images?
I think people are generally unaware of how broad the definition of child sexual abuse imagery is. It includes images of a child, obviously, but also drawings or written text. It also includes any image or text in which someone is represented as a child, whether or not they are in fact a child. Also audio recordings.
It’s also one of the crimes over which we claim universal jurisdiction, if I remember correctly.

And yet no one wants to look into that aspect
Honestly it seems a bit daft we’re prosecuting people over anime. Yeah, its icky and weird but so is adult anime porn imo. I get why regular CSAM is banned and agree it makes sense but no kids are being harmed by whatever weird drawings some japanese lad made any more than anyone’s harmed when someone draws a dobby the house elf having sex or whatever weird fantasy people want to draw.
Why are we (the taxpayers) paying for legal aid for an English guy who was transiting through here on his way elsewhere? Or am I misreading something?

You know what, I’ve got half a mind to walk up to a Guard, pull out my phone, show him a picture of Yoko Littner from Gurren Lagann, (my personal favourite anime of all time,) and go, “arrest me, I dare you.” Whoever thought it was a good idea to class anime images as CSAM must’ve been drunk when they did it. It’s just not on.
This is feckin’ ridiculous… What’s next, arresting people for being attracted to video game characters?
