Wish they’d gone into that more. It clearly did affect his early career a fair bit.

Now as stupid as the headline is, credit where it’s due for the era he was in at his peak, he was some ride.
And somehow he’s aged even better.

and also, too modest…
In fairness, the piece doesn’t back up that quote at all. Not great, especially when you’re putting it in quotes.
>But I do wonder if being that handsome might occasionally have been a problem. He doesn’t get the character roles that come the way of Brian Cox or Brendan Gleeson.
>“Ha ha! They’re coming down the road. I’d like to think they are.”
>Brosnan remembers meeting John Huston to discuss a role in the director’s famous 1987 adaptation of James Joyce’s story The Dead.
>“I sat there with the greatest trepidation but absolute enthusiasm and passion for the work,” he says. “And then I heard this wheezing noise – the wheezing noise of emphysema. This man walked in. This great man with his oxygen tank. And he sat down. He just looked. And he said, ‘Too handsome! Too handsome!’ Handsome is as handsome does. It can get in the way.”
So, he’s asked if being too handsome has stopped him from getting roles, he recounts a story of a director calling him too handsome and then says “Handsome is as handsome does”. I don’t know how you justify that headline at all.

Aye, you and me both Pierce. My handsomeness killed my acting career before it even got started.

A problem we redditors will be all too familiar with
They tried to have him arrested because he’s so gorgeous! 🥛🐮
Happens to the best of us Pierce.

I watch [this](https://youtu.be/9Vy1Ieypexk?si=RbMQb8dwnDko2fy0) when I want to be reminded what peak male beauty is.
So damn handsome.
He lost his Irish catholic guilt, that’s for sure
The last good James Bond.
I felt Bond crossed into the unbelievable/generic genre with Die Another Day though, with the ‘invisible car’.
Then Craig came along and was a poor Bond like running up steel girders in shoes and then not being out of breath.
THEN MAYBE YOU SHOULDN’T BE LIVING HEEEEEEEERE!!!
Brosnan has aged like a fine wine. The sexy bastard.
At last someone who understands me. And my dick is too big as well.
Another click bait article where the headline doesn’t match the content.
The Irish Times is genuinely deteriorating. It’s happening too much, this is a bit of a canary in a coal mine scenario.
Tell me about it Piercey lad

Finally something I can relate to.
Wallets too full too, I can barely pick it up.
He was fair handsome TBF. Being too ugly gets in the way too…
This is so true to be fair

Pierce is a handsome guy, he’s not bragging about it, just stating a fact and discussing the impact of it.
He comes across as a nice person, and a decent actor.
His accent in Mobland was fucking horrendous.
Fucking embarrassing
Have the same problem myself
