      > Even before Gabbard left the Democratic Party, ingratiated herself with Donald Trump and secured his nomination to become director of National Intelligence, she was known as a prolific peddler of Russian propaganda.

      >In almost every foreign conflict in which Russia had a hand, Gabbard backed Moscow and railed against the US. Her past promotion of Kremlin propaganda has provoked significant opposition on both sides of the aisle to her nomination.

    4. ~~Trump’s~~ Putin’s intelligence chief Tulsi Gabbard ordered halt to intelligence sharing on Russia-Ukraine peace talks among ‘Five Eye’ allies, CBS reports

      I fixed the title

    5. I understand you should not judge a book by its cover… But come on she looks like the daughter of Cruellia and Saruman.

One part of the 5 eyes arrangement is to allow home intelligence agencies to spy on it’s citizens despite being forbidden from doing so, they ask their allies to share the info back to them, a lawyerly end run around our laws.

The us admin must not want intelligence to see what they and allies are up to.  That said, our home intelligence agencies are not the good guys, occassionally they are not the worst guys, but never the good ones, and about to get much worse.

To be so blatlantly weaponizing the five eyes alliance is of course catastrophic for the four others. However once more the US is shooting itself in the foot. Albeit junior partners, CA UK AZ demultiply the strength of the american intelligence aparatus.

How can you trust still the CIA and share information when its head is a russian shill? The whole western order and infrastructure is built under the premise of a convergence in values and systems. To the benefit of all, first and foremost the US. How can this not breakdown when half the politician class in america is now preaching anti-democratic fundamentalist christian nationalistic imperialism?

Vance knows it best, and is trying to force a regime change in Europe as this cognitive disonance won’t be able to maintain for long. That is… unless european countries follow the us example and push far rightists into power, and demolish their democratic institutions.

The other Four Eyes reduced the amount of intel sharing with Krasnov a while ago.

Reporter 1: Mrs Tushi Garbage, why do you stop sharing intelligence?

      Trump’s intelligence chief: umm… because I don’t have any

Report 2 *whispers*: stupid says what?

      Trump’s intelligence chief: WHAT?

American intelligence can’t be trusted anyway. From the top down all that comes out of this administration is lies to forward their agenda.

She’s been paid in Rubles for years, and got her job mostly due to a recommendation letter from Putin.

    12. OkMinute506 on

This so-called trump intelligence chief is leaving the door wide open for the Russian intelligence to interfere with the rest of the European security services. They have already shut down the Russian cyber intelligence service in America, as it is now. Are they that stupid to not be fully aware of what Putin could do next? Do they really believe that Putin won’t cause them harm? Russia has already interfered with the 2020 election in the past. she is more concerned about going after judges who prosecuted Trump for a criminal fraud case on 34 counts.

This indicates that the Americans do not trust us… And when there is no trust… Then we have to be careful what we share with America… As this is reciprocal… This is indicating there is going to be a major Break up in our relationship with America… As this indicates that that it is joining the axis of evil, I may have more in common with North Korea, than the America that fought with us during the second war war. This is not going to end well for America.

      So….
I can safely say that you will be totally ignored and your armed chiefs will be kept up to speed minute by minute….as normal….

It’s amazing that this discount bin Cruella De’vil who is an obvious Russian stooge is chief of anything. Unless of course her boss is working for the russkies as well, and then it makes perfect sense.

Kraanov doing Krasnov things. Tulsi is compromised as f**k but she only acts at the behest of Krasnov.

    17. Royal_Departure_4735 on

Goddamnit won’t someone intervene? The system in the U.S. is too cooked to take care of this itself. The elections have been and will be rigged and the media overlords are more concerned about access and profit than honest reporting. Surely other counties have an interest in not letting the US devolve into this dangerous erratic player? Surely those nations have assets both digital and physical that they could deploy without trace?

    18. It seems pretty pointless from a practical point of view, even for Russia. But as a public nod to Putin, it makes sense. It’s like performing in rhythmic gymnastics to get more points.
I’d laugh if it weren’t so sad. Everything is aimed at helping Putin achieve his goals as effectively as possible.

      >Still, other former intelligence officers contend Gabbard’s directive is commonplace within the U.S. intelligence community, and the criticism is much ado about nothing. They say both the U.S. and the other members of the intelligence alliance frequently withhold information from each other in diverging interest areas. Ezra Cohen, a Hudson Institute fellow who served as the acting undersecretary of defense for intelligence at the Pentagon, suggested that condemnation of Gabbard’s memo likely stems from a dislike of Trump administration policies and her leadership as director of national intelligence.

      >”There is a lot of information we do not share even with our Five Eyes partners, and it works in the reverse. There’s a lot of U.K. eyes-only material. There’s a lot of Australian eyes-only material,” said Cohen.

      >”Our interests are not always aligned with our Five Eyes partners,” Cohen said. “And where we have diverging interests, and it’s not just Ukraine, we absolutely mark things NOFORN.”

From the CBS-article. Some counter thought.
