Why are all these accidents classified as freak?
The amount of children killed or injured on Irish farms is crazy. Just no place for kids to be around, other dangerous workplaces would not allow kids.
Devastating. That family will never be the same again. Always wonder how stuff like that happens. Did the child do something they shouldn’t? Did the parent make a mistake that put the child at risk? How avoidable could it have been. Only watched a video a few days ago on a girl about 10 years old down the south of Ireland who lost both of her legs in an amputation after an accident on the farm. Proper dangerous place. Even if you do basic labouring to any degree, even in your own back garden, or just something basic as lifting something heavy, you realize how dangerous it all is. This happens more than you think. RIP young man.
