If RTE fully utilised the app and their archived they could make a fecking fortune and not rely on licence fee/state funding each year.. Create a better app and add a subscription model outside of Ireland. €2.99 a month to people abroad.
That might explain why they pay their staff so much. Comes closer to minimum wage if spread out over a broadcasting career of 250 years on your accounts.
