      I wanted to combine the symbols of both groups in a way that in my opinion would be acceptable to all. The red lion on a golden shield (the heraldic symbol of the geographic region of Macedonia) to represent Macedonians, and also Albanians that are inhabitants of Macedonia, and the red double headed eagle to represent Albanians, and also Macedonians since the double headed eagle is also a symbol of Orthodox Christianity, and also the red double headed eagle was the symbol of Skopje during the medieval period.

      Please share your thoughts, and please keep the discussion civil within the subject of heraldry.

      I actually really like this design. The red eagle and red lion with a golden crown and background fits really well.
      But it does look a lot like the Montenegro coat of arms. Not that that’s a bad thing.

      Ако си од штип, што прашуваш на англиски? Официјален јазик е македонскиот. Втора работа, не не го прифаќам, по што се знае кој е македонскиот земски грб. Кој не ги прифаќа државните симболи какви што се, ене му ја албанија, или грција. Одете барајте од грција права ако смеете

      I’m neither and don’t like this flag, N. Macedonia isn’t a dual ethnic state it’s multi-ethnic. Let’s stick with the flag we’ve got.

      Не ми е јасно зашто би добиле еднаква репрезентација за 20% од популација? Ни една друга држава не би им дала толку права колку што имаат Албанците у МК, не сме 50/50 па да имаме некои си еднакви репрезентации, дечките имаат повеќе права у држава што не ја рачунаат за своја отколку што би имале во Албанија/Косово, што кој кур ви е на сите.

      We already have a good compromise. I think we are the only country in the Balkans that still uses the communist emblem (without the red star) and it’s neutral enough, since it doesn’t have many cultural references, but it is based on the nature of the country, which is shared by every ethnicity. I used to hate it, but I’ve grown fond of our emblem
