As long as the weapons used are not American or have American components in them Ukraine doesn’t need permission from the US to strike Russia. BUT when they want to use american long range weapons or anything that has American components or uses american targeting info then unfortunately Ukraine is at the mercy of American approval.
Sure that’s very valiant and also correct and moral but the US also doesn’t need to provide ISR or weapons
