See what’s happening in the USA? Nigel Farage wants to bring every bit of it here. The culture wars, the open bigotry, the people being disappeared off the street by masked secret police, the religious extremists running everything, selling out the whole government to the highest bribe, the complete destruction of anything resembling culture in favour of corporate blandness. If you don’t want the UK to become what the USA is now, do everything in your power to keep Nigel Farage out of power.

To any potential ReformUK voters, this man doesn’t care about you or our country. He’s in it for himself and himself only.

‘It won’t happen here,’ people keep insisting, despite watching it steadily happening here right now.
Far too many people have faith that our apparently *secular institutions* will prevent this. They won’t. They completely failed to protect the rights of trans people, and now the (largely American funded) far right will keep making inroads.
Farage won’t run on a platform of ‘banning abortion rights’, of course. He’ll run on the usual right-wing platform of blaming immigrants and non-white people for all our problems. But on Page 49 of the manifesto, in small print, will be a line about ‘reducing funding for reproductive healthcare services’ or something equally vague, something which our lame political class will largely ignore. And that’s how they’ll get it.
In a way the most insulting thing is that Farage doesn’t even believe this shit himself. Like so many right-wingers he’s just doing what people with money tell him.
(and this isn’t just a problem with Reform, for what it’s worth. The Tories are entirely captured by these same funders too, as are factions of the Labour Party. Our entire political sphere, completely devoid of any real ideas or vision of their own, are happy to capitulate to whoever is paying them the most)
What a cheap, boring knock off of his US fundamentalist counterparts this man is. Just like a great deal of what the UK produces these days. We can’t even come up with an original brand of right wing populist any more.
Protect women’s healthcare before the dying currently in effect in Texas etc comes here. Many women have died from sepsis, partial miscarriages etc. most abortions are due to medical conditions like ectopic pregnancy, lack of development of the foetus and sadly many other life threatening complications. If we let this happen our daughters and granddaughters will not remember us well.
I’m absolutely shocked Nigel ‘Trump fluffer’ Farage would do this, I’d have thought Nigel ‘Russia Today’ Farage would have asked for more money than that.
Mind you, I bet the people of Clackton are proud that Nigel ‘man of the people’ Farage is still trousering his EU pension as well as his MP salary while doing this.
You know this anti abortion schtick won’t stick. But keep trying. He answered a question about abortion and said [considering the change in NHS guidance ] parliament should debate the issue about number of weeks.
