If you care about this country, this man must be kept as far from power as possible. He shouldn’t even be here, he promised to leave if Brexit was a crock of shite, and it is. Yet here we are, still having to look at his face.

I suppose the usual suspects who rant about two tier justice because woman who plead guilty got sentenced will all of a sudden be quite happy to be a first class citizen above the untermensch? The true nature of the concerned citizen is revealed.

I know it will be leaving the EHCR, so all of the above can become a reality, and his followers will vote for it in the name of freedom.

It should be noted that immigrants with and without visas have limited rights anyway. Indefinite leave to remain is slightly different.
If you’re a visitor, you can’t work.
If you’re a here on a temporary visa, you don’t have recourse to public funds, potentially limited working rights, in many cases can’t vote. You can be denied entry, your visa can be cancelled and you can be removed. You may not be able to sponsor a partner. There’s a time limit on your permission to remain.
British citizens rights are not restricted in the same ways. So there’s already two tiers.
Farage is suggesting extending this.
Many things that are against human rights, are already against the law in the UK. Modern slavery, torture, etc

Isn’t this the exact system people have been (incorrectlt) proclaiming Starmer has established? Isn’t this the reason a lot of the Nationalistic British Brigade have said the UK doesn’t feel like it’s for British people anymore and claimed Starmer wasn’t fit for purpose as PM?
Farage has reached the height of Trumpism: use what you’ve complained about as wrong by rivals as your own next steps. Madness.
Responsible-Milk-515 on
As an international student, I feel very much the opposite. British citizens have priority over me. Obviously British citizens are prioritised over me. That’s not a surprise. And I am not mad at that.
But not all immigrants are asylum seekers and illegal and are just getting hang outs. We have restrictions and rules to follow. For us interntional students, our university fees are higher than home students. We can’t work over 20 hours a week, and if we get caught we would be deported and never be able to apply visa. This is why most of us who are able to come to other countries for studies come if our parents can fund our fees and accommodations. We also contribute to tax through PAYE if we earn more than 20,000 pounds annually. There is also the visa application fees and the long wait for it to get approved, or approved at all. We also have to pay NHS surcharges as part of our immigration application if we plan to continue staying and accumulating years towards an ILR. They are even extending the former five year policy with the Skilled Worker Visa to ten years in order to be eligible for Indefinite Leave to Remain, which has made a lot of us wanting to become British citizens very anxious about our future. Hopefully this won’t be the case.
Assylum seekers also have regulations like this to follow to be able to live in Britain. I am just trying to highlight that settling in the UK is not an easy task and we have to work for it, contrary to popular belief.
Still, I respect the restrictions and rules, and I am willing to work however hard I can through the process to settle here. I am open to assimilating and learning British culture which I think is important to do if you want to settle in a different country. And that applies to many immigrants. And yet still, I feel like I get fingers pointed at me for something I didn’t do just because some immigrants are illegal or break rules. It’s frustrating sometimes how people don’t even realise the different types of migrants that come here, and instead lump us all into stereotypes and criminals. My question to those people mad at us, why aren’t they pointing the finger at their own government if they feel they aren’t addressing needs of British people? Because I know Britain has its issues and most people are just directing their frustrations. We learn about it everyday in my course. And I see it too. And if you have issue of immigrants not assimilating to local culture, which I can understand since I’d feel the same if it happened in my country, why aren’t you making that a point and instead wanting all of us criminalised and gone?
