Good news imo. Not for racial purity but keep things slow. A revolving door immigration policy serves nobody except for GDP hawks

      >’It was the fourth successive 12-month period where more than 100,000 people immigrated to the State.’

Why are we putting up with this in a housing crisis?!

25,000 Indians moved here last year, the same as the year before, and about the same (20,000) in 2022. Nearly 70,000 in 3 years.

The article did its best to avoid stating that stat of course.

I have nothing against them (they are hard working people who do not deserve what has happened to some of them recently) , but during a housing crisis its insane allowing so many in from India.

Canada and Australia realised they had a housing crisis a few years ago and immediately put caps on the number of students allowed in from India.

What did we do here (a country with possiblity the longest ongoing housing crisis)?

Our universities actively increased their marketing to India to entice those Indians who could not go to Canada and Australia, thus the massive increase in Indians here now.
