She’s not diplomatic enough to represent a plurality, Alan Kelly recognises this.Â
Not his biggest fan but I agree with him here
She’s one of the worst candidates in a generationally poor field of candidates.
He’s obviously right. Her supporters on here do her no favours.
My whelmed is positively under so far
I wouldn’t trust anyone who nominated Gemma O’Doherty for president.
She refused to clap for Zelenskyy when he was here.

And you know what, she has it too.
What better endorsement of Connolly?
Agree with him or not this is a poor decision from AK.
If you’re in a political party you have your discussion indoors and go with the party decision.
Even if he just said “it wasn’t my choice but I’ll support the party decision” that’d be something.
Otherwise why not just run as an Indo? He had a shot to lead the party and did poorly.
