It is so… standard across the cultures of invaders.
Never-ending wars in middle east destroyed so many priceless ancient libraries.
Nazi Germany burnt books in USSR.
Now it is Nazi Russia’s turn.

Now, in 2025, no one reads paper books.
This photo looks like a room being cleared of old junk.

Now would be the correct time for Henry Jones Sr. to voice his opinion about this.

If the books are meant for “destruction”, why are they carefully placed on cardboard and stacked so neatly? This photo simply looks like someone emptied out a building meant for renovation.

They will never destroy Ukrainian democracy

Next they’ll be transplanting the former Ukrainian residents to far east Russia and putting in new Russians into the area to get ready for the vote for whether they want to be Russian. The Ukrainians that are left will probably be enforced to vote by gunpoint.

Even soviets did publish books in ukrainian language. Total moral decay of Russia.

To me it looks like they are being taken out of a destroyed building. These books seem in one piece and neatly stacked and the ruined books are throw beneath the destroyed window in that pile.
Is there some actual intel on it or just a telegram channel saying “believe me”?

Why don’t you think there’s child porn, animal abuse or LGBT propaganda in there? Those aren’t the kinds of things that should be freely available in a library, are they? moreover, there are many Nazi statements in the Ukrainian media field. their leader Bandera was a Nazi. this could be his biography🤷🏻♂️

This picture is originally from 2023 with the same headline. And the actual event took place at some point in 2022.
From what I understand they just cleared out the whole library, there was more pictures of it available at the time and it wasn’t focused on Ukrainian cultural writing or anything like that. You had books about artists like Cezanne, fictional novels, architecture books about India, etc. all removed. And while im sure some of it was destroyed, im actually pretty sure regional authorities confiscated it, shoved it all in a warehouse and tried to sell it off for funding.
