The missiles are paid for by Norway, Denmark and The Netherlands. Assuming this goes through as planned, it’s actually a fairly big deal. The missiles can be used on the F-16 and Mirage 2000 and they have a range of 240-400km. Currently Ukraine is extremely limited in that type of capability, so 3000 missiles of this type will be very useful.

Note that this started in January 2024, under Biden. They went out to tender for a cheap cruise missile, and whoever tendered had to be able to deliver a cheap, reliable missile at volume in defined periods.

The initial purchases were also underpinned by European countries.

So this headline is basically “Trump fails to cancel a program that’s been running for nearly two years”.

      Love the word “sale”.

Should been doing this from the beginning.

      Fixed the title.

The EU purchased 705 mln euro in ERAM missiles for Ukraine.

You dont get credit for scalping ‘allies’

    6. How does this work? The big news is usually that US approves X, but end of day someone is paying for it, right? I think this time it’s Norway, Denmark and Netherlands. I think Europe has to make sure it’s really clear in the article title who is the supporter here.

Weird to think that selling armour and ammo to allied countrys needs approval at all.

This sad take shows the sad mentality the old world has. Its boot licking to value hard work? This is why you are not at the big boy table anymore. Your supposedly great lifestyle choices have resulted in a continent that has no technological or industrial base and your ability to project military might is shockingly poor. For all these great choices you seem to be making the results don’t seem to be working out for you. Also your healthcare is not wonderful and not free like you pretend it is, you just get taxed more and told by the government what to do.
