I’m going to guess the video is fairly damming if that’s the case.

She could have said literally anything and it still would not be ok to punch her in the face twice. Such a shitty country

Germany trying to atone for their Nazi past by by redirecting their Nazi mindset against Palestinian people and anyone who supports them.

It’s abhorrent what what happened and unjustified but I also read that she called them Nazis which as far as I know is a crime there

Jesus thank god the guards abide by a similar policy. Absolutely appalling.

>Berlin Police said in a statement that it has reported the incident to its police watchdog, Directorate for Police Offenses at the Berlin State Criminal Police Office, “to determine whether any aspects of the police response may be disproportionate or of criminal relevance”.
>A spokesperson added that they refused to comply and “insulted verbally” and “offended physically” several police officers despite “repeated orders” to leave the area.
>”Officers were compelled to use immediate force, including selected targeted strikes, to overcome the resistance and carry out the arrest.” it said.
Reads like an IDF report after the bombing of another hospital.
How does one physically offend a police officer? Did he clutch his pearls or something?

Don’t worry they’ll make up all sorts of justifications for why they had to punch an unarmed woman in the face repeatedly, and then if she didn’t say what they claim provoked them to that entirely unreasonably response, they’ll just say said it anyway.
Really not a good look for Germany, and also just shows that they are not really able to cope with people not toeing the official line of not pointing out war crimes and human rights violations.

Fair play to her for not backing down

Unfortunately police forces attract violent thugs like this. If it wasn’t police they’d probably be in a gang or be a menace at fighting gyms

Just watched the video and it’s fairly rage inducing. If I saw this in America I’d roll my eyes in disgust, but in Germany? In my EU? F you Germany, the holocaust was over 80 years ago, what you’re doing now does not balance the butchers block.

That police statement is making me see red. Such condescension. Such arrogance. The government needs to escalate this. Germany thinks they have a responsibility to Israel? Ireland is an EU member. They have greater responsibility to us.

“Selected targeted strikes”…
I’m trying to process that in the context of policing a peaceful protest.
