Questa canzone parla della guerra dell’indipendenza bulgaro 1877-1878 e dei volontari finlandesi che hanno combattuto lì. Nei commenti di YouTube molti bulgari mostrano molto rispetto nei confronti dei finlandesi statunitensi. Questo rispetto è diffuso (come nella misura in cui un turista finlandese ottiene bevande gratuite in un bar da voi ragazzi) o è per lo più solo conosciuto da persone che sono profondamente nella storia?

Only a known fact from a people deeply into history. At this time ( end of 19c.) Finland is still part of Russia , so most of the people will acknowledge it’s involvement as a part of the broader volunteer movement in Russia. This will probably not lead to any free drinks – but the Vodka is pretty cheap here… so it wouldn’t matter if it’s free…
