Undermining EU safety laws, allowing bigger, heavier vehicles onto EU countries that are more dangerous to other road users and cyclists and more deadly to pedestrians
Instead of making the US cars safer – or up to an acceptable safety standards, because that would cost money.

No we are not, since all of them at above the weight limit of a standard license and all which are below it are already sold in the EU like the RAM 1500 pictured.

Would there even be a market in the EU for giant pick-up trucks? I find it hard to believe there is a demand.

A lot of this stuff isn’t going to be politically sustainable as there isn’t support for reducing safety standards. If this starts impacting food standards for example, they’ll be politicians in Europe facing being turfed out in both domestic and European elections.
The best they can achieve is some kind of fudge that can keep things going until the end of his term or he’s impeached or seriously curtailed.

Just cause something is allowed to be sold it doesn’t mean it will

Yes but thank god Ireland and France can still sell booze to Americans.

American cars and trucks are over priced junk. They don’t last, and they rust almost immediately. Every year they try and make extra profits by putting in more and more cheap parts.
Buy a Lexus or Toyota and watch that shit last you to 300k miles easy with almost no issues.

Sooo. Does this mean I can import a Toyota Hilux to the USA that isn’t 25 years old?

Please are getting angry over something that won’t happen. These trucks are honestly very costly, their starting price is above a midsize luxury SUV or sedan. People vote with their wallets and these vehicle are too expensive and too troublesome to own. Only people who would buy them are doing it for style or actually need one as a work vehicle. To be fair I do see them as work trucks in the US however MOST EU farmers are not running farms close to the size a lot of Americans and Canadians are.

European leaders have zero balls.
They are destroying Europe and the lives of Europeans because they won’t stand up to Trump.
