Good, at least it’ll help them get around and/or to work or training opportunities, rather than just giving more free money to rich boomers
Honestly half of the shit that goes to old people needs to be scrapped and given over to young people who aren’t sitting on wealth and are economically active.
Why not just go with the successful Scottish model? Feels a bit half arsed even if it is an improvement.
When are we going to stop seeing “give away stuff for free and worry about how to pay for it later” as a solution to our problems? All this does is reduce the money available to invest in bus services. The people who “benefit” from this will be the same ones who complain that their bus services are being cut.
The cost of taking a bus should be what it costs to provide the service. Don’t even get me started on the OAP bus pass.
This will give me an excuse to go properly venture into extremely rural wales at university then
