It’s not only Musk behavior backlash. Tesla was electric car powerhouse once. Since then old manufacturers from Europe and Japan and new manufacturers from China caught up and outpaced Tesla’s EVs.

European buyers seem to be leaning more reapers established brands that already have trust there.

From holding defacto monopoly status to this, in how many years? 10? Thats achievement on its own.

    4. 3 and Y are literally still the most selling EVs in Europe. And BYD is still not on the top 10. These percentages and wording together makes no sense at all. It’s like a BYD sales pitch, and I’ve seen it A LOT of times on here lately. BYD still doesn’t sell any cars in Europe, because 200% increase of close to nothing is still close to nothing.

Tesla Ys 40% slump, from 4x nearest competitor, is still way ahead.

Also, sorry I forgot, Tesla bad.. or whatever you parrots wanna hear.

Doesn’t look like finding replacement parts will be fun in the future. If you mean business you get something your local workshop has seen a lot.

Well, I will be honest – Tesla did not have a reasonable competitor 4-5 years ago. The range alone on some other offers in the market was enough to deter people from looking anywhere else.

Now Musk has managed to stain the brand with his involvement with Trump, exposed himself to be somewhat of a raging lunatic rather than an eccentric inventor billionaire even to people who did not know much about him. And on top of that now you have a wide selection of alternatives with more attractive pricing/features.

Depending on my needs I would probably look first at something like Polestar or those charming Renault 5s. Hell, I would probably even look at straight up Chinese brands like Omoda or BYD if I was in the mood to support an imperialist regime.

So I don’t think it was **only** Musk going on a ketamine bender in the White House that killed the sales, it was also accelerated by the competition catching up or straight up surpassing Tesla.

Was in the market for an ev early last year

I test drove about ten cars, including the my awd and rwd versions. It simply didn’t seem like Tesla had the superior product at that price point

The software stood out as it’s main pro over others. Even then it didn’t feel safe to keep glancing away from the road to check something as basic as my speed

      Quite happy with our EV6
