This is what populist party like PIS do to a country. This is what lgbt free zones do to a country.

Poland is well placed to catch up with Western Europe in terms of nominal GDP per capita, their economy just keeps on growing.

      Congratulations.
…and yet, despite the agreements reached and signed decades ago, unjustifiably wants to blackmail Germany for 800 trillion Euros…

    6. Extremely happy to see Poland doing well! As a Swede, I’ve had the great pleasure of visiting numerous Polish towns over the years, and I think everything from the hospitality and architecture to the countryside, city life, and cuisine is hugely underrated. Poland really is a wonderful country.

Fingers crossed that PiS never get the chance to claim power again. As long as they don’t, I’m confident Poland will keep thriving and remain a strong part of our European unity.

**Poland has now joined the “exclusive club” of countries whose GDP exceeds one trillion dollars, Donald Tusk, the Polish prime minister, has said.**

The prime minister, who was speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, added that Poland was now one of only 20 countries in the world that are members of the club.

“We often hear that we are not good at showing off, that we don’t always find the time or determination to talk about what Poland is doing well,” Tusk said.

“It has become a fact, an absolutely historic one, that Poland has just joined a very exclusive club of trillionaire countries,” he said.

“I know these are abstract statistics, and it’s hard to imagine something like a trillion. But it’s impressive. There are 20 such countries in the world. Out of 195 countries, 20 belong to this trillionaires’ club.”

He went on claim Poland’s GDP growth has no parallel in Europe.

“This growth, it’s one of the highest in Europe, and compared to the largest economies, not just European ones, Poland is unrivaled in terms of growth rate of 3.4%,” he said.
