Most Britons didn’t recognise Ed Davey when he was Lib Dem leader.
Probably because the Lib Dems haven’t been relevant for over a decade. Cleggy made sure of that.
I recognise him as one of the lawyers persecuting the victims of the Horizon scandal, if that helps

They’re not missing much, has spent the last year talking about either Trump or Gaza in between doing cringe TikToks. Incredibly disappointing considering there the 3rd largest party.
I don’t care who the leader is, I care about policy and results. This isn’t a fucking popularity contest like the low brow Yanks.
It’s not really an Ed Davey problem, it’s a Lib Dems problem.
The only previous Lib Dem leaders who achieved significant media coverage were as follows:
– Paddy Ashdown – Most known for being the first Lib Dem leader and for having an affair with his secretary.
– Nick Clegg – Most known for agreeing to form a coalition government the with Conservatives.
The Lib Dems are just there, but no one knows why. They’re like an uncle who comes to a family reunion and everyone is certain they’ve seen him somewhere before but can’t put their finger on when and where.
