Gutted.
Nothing like listening to eminently qualified experts in their field being chastised and spoken to like children because they didn’t answer his questions ‘correctly’.
Terrible news but can’t deny he’s had a great run, nearly 30 years and over 1000 episodes.
Really hope whoever takes over is similarily discerning to Bragg, actually quite refreshing to have a show that still takes itself quite seriously to a degree and maintains a consistent standard of topics discussed.
Please god don’t let amol Rajan replace him. Going to miss Melvyn and his disdain of academic chuntering
Hopefully they will find someone to replace him and carry on with what is an outstanding program.
