The case he’s on trial for now seems even more clear cut. He’s accused of directly targeting a person for online harassment and damaging her property.

The worrying thing is that the media and politicians are siding with the transphobic Lineham in this case against a trans teenager.
There has definitely been an increase in acceptance of transphobia in the UK recently. It makes me worried that wider LGBT rights will soon be in the firing line of the culture wars.
Lineham being described as Father Ted creator is a bit odd given how long ago this was. Maybe “Terminally Online troll to face trial…” instead?

If an asylum seeker was calling for people to go into ladies restrooms to assault women they think are not womanly enough, you would of course have an entire cohort of “female defenders” out and about demonizing them and everyone associated with them, and likely riots in the streets.
But, because graham lineham says it, it’s apparently a free speech issue, proof that the government is woke, proof britain is going down the pan, etc. and those same “female defenders” are standing behind him telling everyone who will listen that actually he’s speaking total common sense (to assault women in ladies restrooms)
It’s would actually be laughable, if it wasn’t so absolutely tragic this is the state of discourse in the UK.
