These “security guarantees” are a fantasy being cooked up to persuade Ukraine to give up territory to Russia in exchange for a pause in fighting. If these nations are unwilling to come to Ukraine’s aid now when they are under active invasion by Russia, then there is no chance that they will come to Ukraine’s aid during the next invasion by Russia.
So, as long as Russia keeps fighting, Putin doesn’t have to worry about Western troops in Ukraine? But if Putin actually agrees to a ceasefire (he won’t, but let’s pretend he does), then he will be “rewarded” by the presence of Western troops in Ukraine? Anybody else see a problem with this timing? NOW is the time to deploy Western troops into Ukraine in order to free up more Ukrainian troops for the front. When Russia is soundly defeated, Western troops won’t be needed in Ukraine after the war.
The world is insane. Enter Ukraine in NATO. Give Russia 24 hours to withdraw. Putin has bet the west wont go Nuclear over Ukraine, time to call his bluff. The time to “Make America Great Again” is now.
The US and collective West hasn’t done anything for 3 1/2 years. Let’s just wait till Putin is ready to stop

Ukraine fights for it’s freedom while the rest of the world does very little but send old weapons and money. Meanwhile my country (USA) is completely pro Russian…
