I say this as someone pro flying the flag.
This isn’t patriotism, it’s intimidation and vandalism. Most likely harassment too directed at whoever lives in the house.

This is bloody horrendous.
There are flags on the lampposts on our street and that’s all very pretty, but this is getting into fucking Kristallnacht territory. I hope they throw the book at them. This isn’t Facebook posts or hurty words, this is terrorising innocent civilians in their own home.

The line was crossed about a week and a half ago, did no one else see that video of the group in Basildon painting flags above those shops and harassing a woman in a hijab who was with her child.
It was always thinly veiled racism and never actual patriotism. I’m amazed people have let themselves be duped into ever thinking it was about simple regional pride.
Arrested? For patriotism. This country has gone to the dogs. Two tier justice. /s
How convenient for the government that these things happen now and also get huge media attention, this discredits any opposition to the government’s policies on illegal immigration and distracts discourse from any real topic like budget plans, etc.
Anyone against “illegal boats” will be just lumped together with “ah, I’m sure you’re painting those red crosses on sidewalks, right?”
