So che Saturno non è mai stato venduto in Norvegia e questo Saturno SC2 è davvero vecchio (2002). Ma funziona ancora così bene per la sua età e resta molta vita da dare perché è stato preso davvero bene. Questi sono soggetti a danni alla ruggine nel carrello in luoghi con un forte uso di sale sulle strade in inverno, in particolare.
Non è grave nel Kentucky, tranne ogni pochi anni in cui otteniamo una tempesta di ghiaccio e escono i camion di sale. Ora so che la situazione è molto, molto diversa in Norvegia in contrasto con il Kentucky. Forti nevicate e altro ancora. C’è qualche possibilità che questa cosa sia in grado di cavarsela in Norvegia, figuriamoci sopravvivere a strade nevose? Non voglio davvero separarmi dalla cosa nel caso in cui mi muovo lì in un futuro lontano e mi piacerebbe mantenerlo.
Inoltre è anche qualcosa che può essere portato in Norvegia? So che ci sono servizi che possono portare veicoli all’estero, ma non ho idea se questo è qualcosa che soddisfa le più rigorose norme ambientali lì, test di emissioni, ecc. In una nota separata, è qualcosa fuori dalla questione per un Saturno?

If the car is over 20 years old there is no extra taxes just vat on 25% of buying sum. (Dont know the rules on importing own goods.)

Since it is a used car I do believe it is more straightforward to get it approved, it is the same set of rules that have been used to get a few Tesla Cybertrucks approved in Norway
You can bring it, but if it is under 30 years old it is not going to be worth it unless is has some serious emotional value, due to high import taxes and fees. Cars that are 30 years or older are considered veterans, and can be imported easier and with a lot fewer fees. How much it would cost to transport it here I have no idea about, but I am sure there are freight companies in the US that you could ask in order to get an estimate.
If the car is known for having issues with salt and rust, I would absolutely not advise that you try using it in Norway in the winter. Salt is not equally common everywhere, but lots of places uses it a lot, and it is a common cause of rust issues.
Norway does have some pretty active “amcar” clubs that collect various american vehicles, and it is very common for these guys to have cars that they only drive between spring and autumn, to avoid the issues that the winter brings. So you could potentially do just that, provided you have a safe space to store it for winter, and then you could have some other daily driver that you use during the winter.
