Awful story, but hey at least it wasn’t a toddler this time I guess…?

Those dogs should be banned outright, there’s zero need for anyone to own one. There are plenty of other breeds if you want a dog.

    2. BAN THEM

Why *anyone* would have a legitimate reason to own such a breed. Owners need to be held culpable

My dog whose genetic line has been moulded to kill, kills. Shock horror.

What a horrible way for that little creature to die, and witnessed by its owners. When is this breed going to be banned entirely? What is it going to take for this to happen? I love dogs and are comfortable around them, but I avoid this breed like the plague.

An exemption requires these dogs to be muzzled and on a lead when out, which clearly wasn’t the case. The owners should be in jail

Lock the owners up, could easily have been a child.

It’s funny how the “It’s just the owners being bad, not the breed!” crowd have slowly stopped speaking up.

It’s almost as if biological facts are undeniable.

This is the problem with the “ban” conditions. Even if the owners actually comply (which they frequently don’t as it’s not policed at all) all it means is dog have to be muzzled or on a lead in public. These dogs escaped from a house on a random fluke, the ban did not do enough to protect the public.

It’s almost as if these dogs are dangerous and shouldn’t be allowed anymore.
