Not long ago you would get downvoted into oblivion on this sub for saying that Europe was still buying significant amounts of oil and gas from russia, and the replies were always that it was lies and “fake news”.
I guess it wasn’t a lie after all huh?

Anyone wants to bet that oil exit will include rising import from Brunei?
That’s easy to say as it is very unlikely that the war will continue till 2028 for the simple reason that ukraine would have fallen much before that, so the rationale for stopping would not exist in 2028.
Also does this include the gas purchased and the Russian crude refined by India, as India took a lot of flak for it even though it was meant for Europe.

Because, well, https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/russia-ship-oil-brunei-via-arctic-route-first-time-sources-say-2025-09-03/ and I can bet there’s going to be a lot of oil-mixing…
