Being a pupil barrister is a very vulnerable thing – even a new junior is very much at the whim of more senior barristers because you need to practice from a chambers for three years. Pupils are in a far worse position. Good chambers have severe pupillage committees that police that sort of thing – I was lucky enough to have that when I was a pupil.
Even as a full practising barrister, you still had to put up with unwanted touching by solicitors sometimes because they knew they could get away with it.

The perpetrator, Craig Tipper, is still a practising barrister. [He was only suspended for 3 months.](https://www.barstandardsboard.org.uk/barristers-register/8E4D71BE3D925B34CA082AA348A9A032.html)
