The quotes should be around ‘alliance’. The dynamics was always the same. Trump just brought the arm twisting and servitude to the public eye.

There are worse “nostalgia” that Germany has to fear: not only there’s AfD, there are still industrialists that wish for russian fossils to come back in full force.

How can anyone have nostalgia at this point? Bill Clinton asked Europe to take it’s defense seriously. Obama straight up said Asia will be the US focus. Trump colluded with Russia in his first term, and he’s doing it again now.
