Not really. If Moldova joins EU a significant portion of population would migrate to Western Europe and the country would end up weaker as a result. Moldova needs to join NATO or sign mutual defence pacts with European nations. It should not enter EU.
It’s great time too since Frau Merkel and Mr Obama (less about EU, more about NATO but still) are no longer there to say “No, we love the taste of russian dick too much”.

They should rejoin Romania not the EU. That way they get into the EU without becoming another 5th column ala Hungary
