Bit confused by the title, does this means amount of suicides per country?

Damn, Hungary must have a 24-hour station playing nothing but “Gloomy Sunday”.

Practically nobody is committing suicide in Liechtenstein

This is likely just a reflection of cultural definitions and reporting mechanisms. In Ireland it’s often not included on the death certificate or inquest unless it’s unquestionably intentional (a note, hanging or such). This is due to harm reduction for the family and community. If a person intentionally jumped in front of a car/train or overdosed or drove off a cliff than accidental death will most likely be recorded. Many situations it’s clear the intent but it’s not recorded by those in charge as they’d likely also know the deceased family and won’t want to cause further harm.

A better approach here would be to divide this by method used both relative to population and relative to this figure. This would highlight the gaps in data in certain regions and commonalities across all regions in trends etc.

Further south lower, further north higher, does a better climate lower suicide rates?

We seem to be a bit of an exception to the vitamin D club, along with Denmark.
