the EOL for win10 is in a month’s time. with the privacy nightmare that win11 is, i’d expect some places here and there to take up linux, but not that many, unfortunately

Wise decision. We live in strange times, when the market did 180 degrees flip, and now Linux is for normal user that just wants everything to work, and Windows is for this all strange edgy users, that want to fight with each single thing and bug.

finally pulled the trigger on linux a month ago. it definitely takes some time to get used to, but it was rather painless overall, and very worth it (computer runs faster!). if you’re thinking about installing, I would recommend Cinnamon Mint or Kubuntu, they are both very polished and easy to set up
