We can hate Macron for many things, but standing up for our european allies is not a thing we can be mad about

I don’t understand why we’re only sending three planes… Don’t we have 150 rafales?
What better thing do they have to do?
Why not send 15 ?
And our Mirage 2000s? What’s the point if they stay in France?
From my point of view, we don’t really want to help. We send the bare minimum just to keep up appearances.
Poland should be able to shoot them down themselves tbh. If they cant during “peacetime” then what follows is markedly worse.
The fuel cost only of the Rafale will be higher than the drones construction cost.
We need cheap counters for these or long term we’ll lose
The joke is that we won’t have enough missiles to intercept waves of drones if that happen regularly.
We really need anti drone measures that we can produce in abondance for cheap.

Following the Russian drone incursions into Poland, I have decided to deploy three Rafale fighter jets to contribute to the protection of Polish airspace and of NATO’s Eastern Flank together with our Allies.
I made this commitment yesterday to the Polish Prime Minister.
I have also discussed this matter with the NATO Secretary General and with the British Prime Minister, who is likewise engaged in the defense of the Eastern Flank.
The security of the European continent is our top priority.
We will not yield to Russia’s growing intimidation.
I believe many people underestimate the sheer cost and logistical complexity of deploying even three fighters just 1,500 kilometers away. Kudos, France.
