*Russian oil gone -> no more cards.*

See, how quickly that can go? Others better start taking notes.

(On a more serious note: I can easily see this resulting in him and Orban’s other cronies turning into Erdogan’s stooges, instead.)

Is he already considering what to do if Putin suddenly disappears? S as in the Russian economy As problems continue to mount, not all of Putin’s supporters in Russia will remain loyal forever.

EU needs to resolve a way to remove bad actors from the union. That’s what will solve the Hungary leadership problem.

I can’t wait until Orban and his government are gone. Ukraine are not trying to drag Hungary into the war. Nor have they banned anyone from speaking Hungarian. And any complaints about attacks on energy infrastructure should be sent to Putin.

      Talk is cheap. PROVE IT!

Quit monkeyfucking around with Russia and let Ukraine into the EU and NATO.

Does nobody in Hungary remember Hungary’s 1956 revolt? WHY are you cozying up to your former oppressors?

I demand good relations with my teenage kids too. Doesn’t work.

Maybe demanding a good relationship is the ACTUAL problem.

Hungary is all talk, and no action. If you want good relations with Ukraine, SHOW don’t tell. Start by supporting Ukraine’s eventual ascension into NATO and the EU, cutting all ties to Russia and condemning Russia’s actions, and supporting provisions to increase weapons supply to Ukraine so they can properly defend themselves and take back land that the Russians illegally stole from them.

    8. JamestotheJam on

It’s kind of hypocritical and ironic that Hungarian politicans always whine about how unfair the Treaty of Trianon was to Hungary, and then actively advocate for the dismemberment of Ukrainian sovereign territory.

    9. Inner-Detail-553 on

Okay, how about just one demand back for Hungary: **have a real election**

Orban has been in power about as long as Putin, because both are the product of exactly the same kind of fake “elections”

You tell me which is more likely: either (a) he’s such a brilliant politician that in all Hungary you simply couldn’t find anyone better to run against him for the *past 27 years*, or (b) he’s cheating

      (Hint: he’s cheating)

Until Hungary has a fair election, everyone should simply ignore any nonsense their unelected “government” spouts

      > Szijjártó went on to call for strikes on the Druzhba oil pipeline to stop, saying they “do not hurt Russia, they hurt us”

Lol unbelievable, how stupid do you think we are

Of course destroying Russia’s ability to make money for their war machine hurts them

    11. FrequentMedicine5225 on

And to call the man himself all gun deaths are worth it

    12. tribbans95 on

Demands it? Lmao Hungary hasn’t quite figured out how to be friendly towards “allies” yet

    13. wombat9278 on

Well how about they start by stop blocking funds and weapons to Ukraine, stop buying russian gas and get shot of Orban and then we can talk
