for once. Fighting against probs together is defo better than solo. Team EU baby!

They can’t stop fearmongering for a single day. Europe is in a fight for survival but you walk down the street and couldn’t tell.

One might suspect it’s a grift for the military industrial complex, but Von der Leyen is an upstanding person without a corrupt bone in her body which makes it all the more puzzling.

If I had any faith left in the general population’s ability to interpret the events unfolding around them in a rational manner, I would think that witnessing the global order we used to thrive in collapsing before our eyes should be enough for the eurosceptics to concede that the world has gotten too dangerous for mid-sized countries for us not to band together for better or worse, but alas the amount of divisive disinformation seeping out of every screen has put rationality firmly on the back foot.

Like the fight she put against Trump regarding tariffs? What an absolute joke.

Reality check, the current UE leadership has alienated half of it’s less educated population and put the future of the youth way behind the necessities of the baby boomer generation

Ultimately the brutal reality here is that quite literally those groups who historically fought the most don’t care anymore and quietly are waiting for the collapse of the current union

Regardless of political affiliations, everyone can agree that Von Der Leyen is unfit for office

    7. “one of the most significant speeches ever given by a European leader”

Jesus, what are they snorting over there?

    8. CloudBrunchh on

“Long live Europe” only means something if Europe is ready to fight for it.

And we will do so via chat control and environmental bureaucracy

Oh wow, if she could only hear this couple of weeks ago, when she completely capitulated to the orange turd. Great job !

    11. xiaopewpew on

Well in a fight or not, she aint the one fighting the fight.

She straight up folded during the trade negotiation and she praised Trump during the press conference afterwards… Boggles my mind how she thinks anyone will respond to a rallying cry from her…

Where was this speech when she was licking yankee boots like her life depended on it?

    13. I_Will_Be_Brief on

She’s right. There are huge hurdles and realities that stand in our way, but we need to create a sovereign Europe that can act as one.

Thing is she’s part of the problem – not the solution. Her agenda have put EU economy at the disadvantage, fighting “pollution” at levels which have no significance, in a vane hope to protect local market from faster developing countries. The only solution she knows – to any problem – is more taxes.

Instead of just de-regulate and promote development.

But burocrats never de-regulate and in the end burocrats are rulling in Brussels.

Words are cheap and in cases like that do not oblige to anything. It is just “at least I can say something” speech.

Sorry, I don’t listen to tyrannical eurocrats. Especially those who wherever they go tend to attract corruption charges. Or drunkards like Junckers.

    20. OkBaker51 on

She sold the EU down the river and now comes out with this shite.

    21. spieler_42 on

OK – Bureaucrats go first – change all the laws necessary so that we can get rid of all immigrated criminals. Then we can talk about a Europe worth fighting for.

    22. a_passionate_man on

Okay…but then don’t bend to Trump. You call for a fight but you don’t necessarily lead by example.

    23. EtanolVapor on

Well, we have been importing milions of fighting age men for years now…

But we all know who will be sent on the front lines instead.

    24. “Fight to survive”

Proceeds to avoid fighting at all costs to appease Putler.

      Sad.

Milking time is over for the cattle I guess. Now it’s time for the meat grinder.

    26. Thunder_Beam on

Maybe i’m not understanding but isn’t literally her job making sure the EU survives and thrives? We can fight and all but if we are lead by chickens there isn’t a lot we can do
