Better than doing that and being a reform super donor I guess.

Now I know this wasn’t him it was the estate agents managing the property but still, being a landlord (with some limited circumstantial exceptions) isn’t compatible with being a Labour member, let alone a representative. I say this as a card carrying, relatively right wing party member.

At what point is this country going to have enough of being taken the piss out of? We have a pm who knowingly put a person who kept paedo company as ambassador to the us. We have a pm who didnt want a national enquiry into rape gangs. We have a Chancellor who is nothing more than a cashier at a bank and a bad one at that. We have a worldwide paedo ring amongst the elites who cover themselves using the very justice system that is meant to protect innocents not the guilty. We’re worked to the bone, taxed highly, money trickles up and people still playing along. Crazy

Such a dick move and I’m not totally convinced it’s even a good business move. My Dad is a landlord and I know of the hassle of bad tenants. If you have good tenants they are worth keeping.

This is only news because people care when the left does it.

Sure it looks bad in isolation but let’s show a bit of understanding. I mean seriously, how else do you expect him to afford to pay for Mr and Mrs Starmer’s new clothes? Are you really expecting the Labour leader to buy his own glasses? Come on!

    8. Genuine question, can political parties return/refuse donations if they don’t agree with the ethics of the person? I assume they can if the legality of the funds is in question?

How’sthe stylist of Fresh Gear Keir meant to get his new suits and glasses without the income to afford it?

This is a shitty thing to do, but it’s also something labour are explicitly banning in their renters rights bill. Labour are actively pushing a bill that would penalise a major donor. Shouldn’t this be a good thing and a great example of why the new protections are necessary?
