Only a matter of time before the military trained men rise up against the oppressive elite there.
Everyone is happy to stick around until the draft notice comes.
I bet all the oligarchs sons are prevented too, sure.
Are they mass conscripting people?
I wouldn’t be surprised if at one point Russia decides mass mobilization. Millions of soldiers to capture all of Ukraine, this time quickly. They might not have enough military and operational material at the moment to do this. However, the longer the war drags on, the more the willingness of the population to participate will grow, and at the same time the likeliness of this scenario. Even if not fully equipped, millions of soldiers could easily overrun Ukraine.

This is a new system that has been in development for quite a while – before that, if you got conscripted, you wouldn’t technically be able to leave the country, but there was no direct integration of the conscription system and of the border control system. Now they sort of unified it into a single digital thing (where you can check whether you are conscripted or not) that automatically shows up your status at the border control checkpoints
Like conscripts were ever able to just leave before? I don’t get it.
