Jeeze that’s mad, always seemed likely to end up this way. Incredibly sad, he probably enjoyed his life however short it was

Heartbreaking. Met him in a strip club in Manchester back in 2012. He was on his own but had a great chat. Bought me a beer. RIP Hitman.

Poor Ricky! I always got the impression he was used by a lot of people and seen as a bit of a clown (the Gallaghers seemed guilty of this). And the promoters put him in fights where he was going to get beaten. I guess it led him to drinking heavily.

RIP, a great talent who was tortured with his mental health

RIP Ricky. Watched the documentary on him a few months ago and came away with seeing how much of a fighter he was. He fought both inside, and outside the ring, overcoming his demons.

      RIP Ricky Hatton.

Absolutely gutting, he was so great for British boxing. Just hope his last days were happy and wish his family all the best.

Ah thats proper sad. After the Tyson, Holifield, Lewis era him and Calzaghe were the only boxers I’d rally gone out of my way to follow all fights. Seemd like a great guy.

Far too young to go, the country as a whole loved this lad when he was on the up and when he got his titles. He gave the country such a loving buzz, someone to just cheer on and have something to be proud of.

      RIP Hitman
