Catherine Connolly had a fit when county council reviews to prevent development were circumvented, declaring it the greatest affront to democracy in the state, so I wonder if she’ll have something to say on this.

Good. If I had my way, every major infrastructure project that has stalled in the last 20 years would be wrapped up into legislation and passed.

With housing, hopefully the penny has finally dropped that the housing crisis is a threat to our economy.

I’ll be filing a judicial review against this proposed legislation post haste

It’s unfortunate that this has become necessary. But as usual a few of gobshites taking the piss means everyone suffers.

Judical Review is not about the merits of a decision, or the quality of a decision, it only looks at the legality of a decision.

In a few years y’all will be on here moaning about corrupt and illegal decisions being taken by public bodies with no way of challenging them.

Absolutely not a problem that needs solving and I’ve been the guts of twenty years *defending* these.  Populist move instead of focussing on the crazy law that’s leads to these cases.  Might be worthwhile asking why nearly every since JR about SHD succeeded….
