Oops, I guess that Kirk man’s death fanned the right wing. How ironic that in death the guy did more than in his entire life.

For context this is just local elections and the results are more or less in line with the results of the federal election we had earlier this year and the overall trend in polling.

If you let increasingly weaponized social media into your country then your people won’t be free thinking for long.

    4. “Triples” to 16%, which is in line with pre-election surveys and pretty much the same result in the state as in the national election in February.

To me feels like this is going to be an “all time high” for the west. But things are getting more polarized in the east side.

Okay, are we land in the most chaotic of the multiversums? Isrealites committing genocide while a significant portion of its population has/had grandparents who faced the same situation.

Germany is slowly becoming more far-right than it has any right to be. But well, to be fair, we did not handle with nazistic and fascistic ideology in the aftermath of the war properly. It might just be that they are finally feeling safe to spew their hateful rethoric. I don’t know what I fear more, them secretly holding on to these ideas or them not feeling ashamed for treating other humans as less equal….

    9. lol, the AfD aren’t more racist than the CDU and German citizens aren’t more racist than they have been a decade ago.

AfD is just not a hypocrite like the CDU. They are honest about what they are. I think this is a step forward. Towards change! And I’m a very much hated immigrant from the ME with no voting rights.

More importantly, the greens are going down by about 50% from last elections. So at least, some good news out of it.

Or governments takes an anti-inmigration approach (as center-left in Denmark) or in most EU countries will govern the right wing. It’s only a matter of time.

How much support does a “far right” party need to get before it’s just a “right wing” party and we acknowledge overton window has shifted?
