I am out of loop about German politics.

Why is AfD bad and can they get in power with those numbers?

Someone at the GRU is getting promoted after intensive fearmongering campaign

The title is misleading. There are no official poling-averages, just a couple of private sector polling institutes.

And as always the extremist’s strength is the rest’s weakness.

US: we going to be the new Nazis lads!
      Germany:hold my beer

Does the AfD have in program leaving/changing treaties like for example the international refugee convenient from 51?

Because without changing or leaving those, it cannot be effectively solved, and rhetorical anti migration is just cheap populism

*„Es ist richtig, Menschen mit schwarzer Hautfarbe auch weiterhin N**** zu nennen.“*

“It’s right to continue calling people with black skin N*****.”

      –Thomas Seitz, former AfD politician

(He also called wearing a mask during the pandemic a “burka for everyone.”)

Make of that what you will.

    8. For context: The AFD are literally Neo-Nazis.

Several of the institutions (multiple state party branches) have been proven to be anti-constitutional right-wing extremists by the domestic intelligence services (BFV).
They are openly cooperating with white-power and neonazi-organisations, and of course, are sponsored by russia.

German politics is a fever dream at the moment, with even at the latest elections (not polls!), 20% = every fifth german is comfortable with voting for a party that is deeply rooted in fascism.

There were communal elections (city councils, mayors) yesterday. AfD averaged 14.5%. That is 14.5% too many, but still far away from these „official“ polls.

Can we please for the love of god stop posting stuff without any source?

Either fix immigration & the economy or face imminent doom in the form of an incompetent extreme right wing government. Exhibit A: the USA.

Not a single day on r/europe without a post mentioning German polling and AfD

Wait I thought that CDU was doing well in the polls, what happened?

May I ask what you mean with 7 Day Average? And what data did you use?

Surprise surprise. Do nothing and be surprised that nothing changes.

While the government does the most hard-line immigration policies.

      Appeasement does not work.

Glad to see we are not the only one who is retarded enough to vote in prorussian idiots. Greetings from Czechia!

Seems like this week these kind of “Polls” are getting out on alot of countrys, same on Portugal. Radical right doing their Magic.

    20. Reform in the UK, Vance in the US, Afd in Germany. it’s all right now

    21. Why does every government right now just seem to be completely asleep at the wheel in regards to the right wing threat steadily becoming a reality. I feel like I’m going crazy

    22. d3n51nh0 on

funny that those „anti establishment“ parties always have billionares funding them

    23. In yesterday’s local elections in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany’s most populous state, they are not ahead in most places. They are much stronger than I would like, but they are NOT ahead. An actual election means more than these stupid polls.

    24. Hello, American here. Please don’t make the same mistake we did. Sincerely,

Germany you better not start another war, we’re tired.
