He’s given them more than the prosecution asked for. He must have been proper pissed off with their antics.
I remember reading about this story when they first went missing. I’m really sad to see how it ended but the whole thing has been utterly bizarre.
Glad they’ve had the book thrown at them. It’ll never be enough but I’m glad it’s not a slap on the wrist.
One point : as I understand it, it is a 14 year sentence but they have a chance of parole at 2/3rds through.
So they won’t serve “at least” 14 years.
It’s rare you see the woman getting the same as the man in these cases.
For what reason does Gordon get an extra 4 years on licence? I can’t see this explained in the article.
