Ciao a tutti,

    Qualsiasi consiglio sarebbe molto utile.

    Aggiornamento (16.09.2025):

D’ora in poi mi attengo a Apple Pay.

CHF 680 suddenly taken from my Twint account by "Trekksoft AG" – no idea why

    2. How can someone take money from your bank account using Twint without you sending the money ? Never heard of that, what happened exactly ?

    3. DigitalDW on

From what I’m seeing the *look* legit, but I cannot be sure (never heard of them or used their services).

As for the charge, if you did not make this transaction yourself, I would go to the police/bank asap to dispute it, no matter the reason you were charged (error on their end, someone accessing your credentials, etc.).

YOu have scanned a twint qr that asked you if you were ok to let Trekksoft AG auto bill you… Otherwise they cannot… so unfortunaly you didn’t read one time what your app asked you.

    5. Recent_Journalist561 on

Trekksoft is a payment software so the charge could be from pretty much anything, do you see any additional info on the charge?

    7. Intelligent-Pace6172 on

What were the last services or products you used twint for?

    8. nichtverstehen on

      — Send a written complaint to the company.
      — Send a written complaint to your bank (unauthorized charge).
      — Make a police report (suspected fraud).
      — Start Betreibung process against the company (the documentation required is pretty light; the police report would work best).

Do all of the above at once.

Most likely the company will explain the charge. Or give back the money.

      Otherwise — Schlichtungsbehörde.

Have you recently booked a guided tour or activity? Trekksoft, as others have said, is a booking software that is used by a number of tour companies in Switzerland and around the world, and is legit. If you’ve booked, for example, a rafting experience or paragliding flight and paid online when completing the booking, the transaction will show Trekksoft and not the company you made the booking with.

Source: have worked for numerous companies connected to Trekksoft.

P.S. I like how invested everyone is in this story

      1. Dispute your bank statement. Immediately!
In writing, either through e-banking message or certified letter.
Normally you have 30 days after the issuance of a monthly statement, but that is in your respective bank’s T&C

      2. Contact Trekksoft AG and ask for clarification. Give them a 30 days window to respond.

      3. If both of the above won’t resolve the issue, contact your local small claims mediator (Friedensrichter). They will try and find a resolution (settlement or refund) , or give you permission to sue (Klageerlabnis) in court.
But since mediators can make a verdict up to the amount of CHF 2000.- it’s unlikely you’d have to go to court.

      Good luck

Did you check the TWINT transaction log of your TWINT app?

    13. turbo_dude on

Better to use a credit card where they can claw back the money.

    14. SlipNo9568 on

Only thing that comes to mind is Automatic Transaction. They can‘t just take Money from you. Something smells fishy here.

    15. aviscido on

Based on their Pricing website, it seems like some kind of integration portal for sales.
Do you have an online store?

    16. Can you check on the settings “Automated payments”, what exist there?

    17. beeftony on

You very likely did authorize this somehow.

Its very unlikely that they were able to just charge your Twint without confirmation from your end first.

I would try to escalate this further with Raiffeisen, I’m pretty sure they at least have more information.

Otherwise call the company as they apparently are some kind of payment software provider. If they cant help -> Police.

But again, you very propably did authorize this somehow. Even if through some scam or something. But I also read on Reddit that there were cases like this before with Twint, so you never know.

      First:

      Check

Mehr -> Automatisierte Zahlungen -> is Trekksoft AG among those that are allowed to make automated payments?

No? Contact TWINT immediately and contact your Bank to trace the transaction.

    19. Pinsel-Wascher on

You don’t have a Twint account, unless you are talking about Twint Prepaid. You have a bank account connected to your Twint app.

The only way this can happen is if you fell for a phishing attack and gave your Twint login details via a webpage that wasn’t in fact Twint. Every other case, you have to actively accept a transaction for it to go through.

So my suspicion is that somebody paid at an online shop via your login details. Just to be clear: Twint is not like a bank card, they (the online shop) **cannot** charge you via Twint unless you explicitly approve it.

EDIT: of course, check the Automated Payments section as others suggested, it can’t hurt, but will eliminate one possibility.

    21. Sirlowcruz on

did you authorize any company to automatically process payments via twint? you can check that in your twint settings.

We need more transparency for the end users. That should simply not be the acceptable.

Just to give another thought – if this seems like it wasn’t legally taken from you, try and contact your “rechtsschutz” for some advice if you’re insured. Alternatively some insurances have a cyber fraud insurance included which can help if this was a fraudulent transaction. Hope you’ll get your cash back soon!

    25. ___Good_Morning___ on

This is getting common. Your bank card details have been sold online and somone used it in your name. This is an effect of data leaks all over the world which I am sure that you have heard about.

I paid for Itunes songs (they are still around apparently) and my money went to apple. This is even though I have never had an Apple product.

I contacted my bank, they had no idea what that was about.

I contacted Apple, and they said that this is starting to be common.

They sent me back my money the next day.

Change your card, contact the company that the money went to and it should be ok.

Upvote this so that OP sees this.
